I am a second year student at the University of Cincinnati studying industrial design. DAAP is a nationally ranked design school that allows me to alternate semesters of school with in-field work experience. Within industrial design, I enjoy working in soft goods, consumer electronics, medical research, branding, and developing markets. I am also interested in economics and sociology, and often incorporate elements from the humanities in my work. Since growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I have become quite the urbanite, finding inspiration in the bustling chaos of urban life. My aim within design is to create connectors, helping people access information, institutions, their communities, and each other.
In my free time, I enjoy musical theater, skiing, and studying foreign languages. I recently had the opportunity to study Mandarin Chinese abroad at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I am also a Team Lead and the Recruitment Officer for UC’s chapter of Design for America, a national social-impact design group. As a student and developing professional, I am happiest when busy. My work truly drives me. In the future, I hope to work abroad and earn a master's degree in design.
